Why do you do what you do?
Until 2 weeks ago, when my alarm would go off in the morning, first thing I would do would be to reach for my phone. Then I would check emails, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp and LinkedIn. Once I’d finished, I might go around the cycle one more time just in case anything new had come in.
Hundreds of messages flooded my mind before I even got out of bed. Amping up my stress levels.
Then I made a change. No more iPhone first thing in the morning. I’ll admit it was hard. Once I even found myself almost at my side table with my finger outstretched ready to click on the iPhone home button.
This one small change has resulted in a surprisingly huge change. I have started being much more focused on my priorities for the day rather than being reactive and obsessed with continuously checking messages and updates.
I have found a new awareness of what I want to be using this one precious life for.
It’s all about potential. The potential so many of us have that is not being realised, is not being translated into action and impact in the world.
I love creating, partnering and working with people who share my vision for a better world and work hard to create it.
Every piece of work I do for the award-winning Digital Mums, I am spurred on by the impact it will have on the women striving for a better life for their families. Whether it’s a training video on Facebook Advertising, the ‘Get Confident This Summer’ webinar series or creating new courses on Skillshare I push past my insecurities, imposter syndrome and doubts to put my work out there.
I’d love to know, why do you do what you do?
